You can't concentrate on your meditation practice when you are not comfortable. And even what starts out comfortable can become painful if you have to hold it for any length of time.
In this short workshop, I help guide you through a set of adjustments to help you find that comfortable seated position.
I show you the basics for seated meditation both on a cushion and on a chair, and demonstrate how I personally feel my way back towards stability over the course of a seated meditation practice.
Additionally, I provide you with an introductory practice for focusing the mind that brings you into the here-and-now... which you can use to stabilize a wide range of other seated meditation practices.
In this module, we focus on building a stable seated position from the ground up. Suggestions for how to adjust your cushion angle and height to make the foundation as solid as possible. Demonstration of the subtle adjustments necessary to maintain this sort of stability for longer periods of meditation.
